Outdoor and Education

Progress has embarked on an exciting new outdoors project. Situated in the stunning forests of Cannock Chase, children can enjoy activities in our very own Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The 33 acre development hosts a range of recreational and educational activity programmes amongst the scenery and natural wildlife of Cannock Forest. The site benefits from classrooms to enjoy indoor activities with the latest addition of a sensory and relaxation room for children with therapeutic needs.

Recent outdoor events have included nature walks, camping, barbecues, treasure hunts, craft activities, and tepee painting. The stunning natural environment gives children the opportunity to witness the many animals of the forest, including deer, and various species of birds and plantation.

This project is included in our package for all children within our fostering and residential homes to enjoy during their stay with Progress.

This exciting project is an opportunity for children with a variety of needs to be able to engage in a range of social and educational activities during their placement with Progress Children's Services. The site is constantly being developed to increase accessibility for all children including those with learning, physical and therapeutic needs.

We are very much looking forward to witnessing the growth of this scheme as an exclusive resource for all looked after children within our fostering and residential services.
