Our Homes

Progress plans its services around the needs of the child, providing a home environment to make the transition and experience of residential placements as natural and positive as possible. Our homes are carefully designed in consultation with architects, interior designers, occupational therapists, and specialist equipment & aids manufacturers who are all experienced in outlaying the home sensitive to the needs of the children.

All our homes are equipped and maintained at very high standards. Each bedroom is individually designed. We actively encourage the child to personalise their space throughout the duration of their stay.

Each home sets out their Statement of Purpose outlining its core principles, objectives and targets on an annual basis. These are reviewed through strategic planning meetings in which all staff is expected to participate. Our staff is subsequently able to contribute to the delivery of services, giving a unique perspective from the frontline. It also embraces the range of skills and experiences of staff where their own performance can be measured and rewarded.

All of our homes are based within the heart of the community enabling easy access to local services. Our homes have a planned weekly structure in which homework, plans for social and leisure facilities are catered for. Each child has daily tasks set out, which are to be facilitated by their key worker and staff on duty.

We pride ourselves in maintaining high ratio of staffing levels. Where there is a need for a child to receive one to one care and supervision, this is often agreed at admission or identified in the care plan at the first statutory review of the child.
